An education group replaces an unsupported ERP and carries the implementation through to the end.
The situation
An education company with about 1,500 employees was operating roughly 45 trade and healthcare schools on a legacy, on-premise ERP that was no longer supported. It needed to select a new ERP platform and implementation partner, then carry the implementation through to completion. Leadership did not believe the organization had the internal expertise to ensure success on such an important, strategic initiative.
What we did
We assessed the client's current-state processes and developed requirements that went beyond replicating existing functionality to address the pain points its teams faced every day. We translated those requirements into an RFP and led the client's teams through a structured evaluation of NetSuite, Microsoft Business Central and Sage Intacct, reaching a confident decision on both platform and implementation partner within three months. We then served as the client's project management lead throughout the implementation, managing the effort and holding the vendor accountable to scope, schedule and quality.
The result
The client successfully completed its ERP implementation. Its teams now operate with new, documented processes designed around how they want to work, rather than around the limitations of the old system.
